The Allen Centennial Garden, directed by Religious Studies Faculty Affiliate Dr. Reba Luiken, welcomes Huda Alkaff, the founder and director of Wisconsin Green Muslims for an event at the garden (620 Babcock Ave) celebrating World Water Day and the upcoming month of Ramadan on Saturday, March 11th at 2:00PM! Wisconsin Green Muslims is a grassroots environmental justice group founded in 2005 by Huda Alkaff. The talk will discuss the Islamic environmental justice perspective as well as the central role of water in life, both physically and spiritually. Note that in case of inclement weather, the event will be held in D.C. Smith Greenhouse.
